TUC Garden is a proud partner with the Ohio Association of Foodbanks and AmeriCorps to provide summer volunteer opportunities to help the community here in Toledo, OH. 

TUC Garden has been a Host Site with Ohio Association of Foodbanks for many years.

Ohio Association of Foodbanks is Ohio's largest charitable response to hunger, representing Ohio's 12 Feeding America foodbanks and 3,600 hunger relief agencies.

​

The Ohio Association of Foodbanks has operated one of Ohio’s largest AmeriCorps VISTA programs since 2006. 

​

For this summer 2023, TUC Garden is looking to fill 3 summer member positions to work at our community garden. 

​

This is outdoor work where we are at the mercy of the elements, but we adjust as we need to for each day. You will be helping us to maintain and cultivate our crops for the season; by weeding, harvesting, cleaning and assembling veggie bags for distribution. We also will be starting and completing up to 3 projects on the grounds in addition to our daily tasks. 

​

If you want to be rewarded with a satisfying day's work in the sun (hopefully) by helping to grow food for our community, we are the place to be this summer.

The summer position is for 10 weeks and

starts June 05 2023 to August 13, 2023.

​

The hours are 40 hours a week, with possible flexible hours as agreed upon with the Garden Director. 

​

The pay is $675.08 and is biweekly.

​

There are 2 options for your end of term, either an Educational Award of $1,459 or End of Service Stipend of $346.
